What is your favorite in-flight music?
Last week, early on a Wednesday morning as the sun began to rise over the Chrysler Building, I took a flight from New York to Memphis. I sat on one of those tiny commuter jets from the 90s with only a few seats and no back seat entertainment screens, leaving me, well, bored on board.
Truthfully, I can never be seriously bored anytime I am traveling because my soul feels most like its self whenever I am experiencing the art of travel. But some form of entertainment does calm my nerves. So I turned to what we used to do back in the day and played music with my earbuds (I knew I should’ve kept my 2006 iPod nano).
I’m curious to know, my fellow big city dreamers, what music do you like to play in the sky?
There are a few albums that I always rotate when flying:
Frank by Amy Winehouse (2003)
The Diary of Alicia Keys by Alicia Keys (2003)
Sweet Insomnia by Gallant (2019)
What are yours?
PS- I have a few Memphis recs to report back on but now I am boarding a flight to Rome. It’ll be my first time in Italy. More to come from the desk of ECF so be sure to subscribe for free and share with 1 friend (or a barista…or your next flight attendant)
Talk soon,
ECF
- Midnight by Coldplay (for every flight during takeoff!)
- Oceans by Seafret
- Only by Ry X (I listen to everyday anyway)
Safe travels to Rome 💚🤍❤️
